Weekly books bazar starts at PAL

IS­LAM­ABAD— A two- day weekly books bazaar was started here at the premises of Pak­istan Academy of Let­ters ( PAL) on Fri­day. The pub­lish­ers and book sellers of twin cities of Is­lam­abad and Rawalpindi have set up their stalls at weekly book bazaar.

The bazaar will be opened at 9: 00am and con­clude on 7: 00pm in evening for two­days.

Books on var­i­ous sub­jects are avail­able at the bazaar on dis­counts rates. The Academy is mak­ing ef­forts to pro­mote book read­ing cul­ture in the coun­try. The Academy in­vited stu­dents and gen­eral pub­lic to get books on dis­counted rates from the bazaar.

An of­fi­cial of PAL told APP that read­ing books pro­vided new ideas and en­ables read­ers to im­prove writ­ings and speak­ing skills. “There is a need that aware­ness cam­paigns for ad­van­tages of book read­ings should be con­tin­ued,” he added.— APP
