In­creas­ing FIRs due to dis­posal of pend­ing ap­pli­ca­tions

IS­LAM­ABAD— Is­lam­abad Po­lice on Fri­day said that in­crease in reg­is­tra­tion of First In­for­ma­tion Re­ports ( FIRs) dur­ing the last fort­night is due to dis­posal of ap­pli­ca­tions pend­ing with po­lice for long time.

In a state­ment re­leased here by Pub­lic Re­la­tions Of­fice of Is­lam­abad Po­lice, it has been said that lot of ap­pli­ca­tions were pend­ing with po­lice sta­tions for long time when the new IGP as­sumed the charge.

It said that Tariq Ma­sood Yaseen fur­ther di­rected that de­lay in reg­is­tra­tion of FIRs caused by any po­lice of­fi­cer will not be tol­er­ated and the con­cerned po­lice of­fi­cials will face de­part­men­tal ac­tion in this re­gard.— APP
