Bengal tiger dies of kidney failure
KARACHI— A Bengali tiger in Karachi zoo died from acute kidney failure on Friday.
According to details, the 16- year- old tiger was brought in the zoo in 2004.
The zoo administration has stated that the tiger was not eating properly for some days after which he was medically examined during which the illness was identified. Mohammad Faheem Khan, Director Karachi Zoological Gardens, said that Bengal tigers usually live not more than 17 or 18 years. He said that the tender for a new tiger at the zoo will be submitted today ( Saturday).— SABAH
