Education best weapon to compete terrorism: Qaim
KHAIRPUR—Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that education is the best weapon to compete with terrorism, unrest, unemployment and other problems. In connection to education of Khairpur, the present Sindh government has restored its historical position by creating it an education city, that is why, our opponents were also admiring us.
Speaking to media personnel and addressing an education achievement programme organized by NOWA Pirbhat here, he said, to promote education, Sindh Government has achieved remarkable achievements.
He said, establishing major education institutions at rural areas, Sindh government has proved that our government by following the vision of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto has driven out people of Sindh from illiteracy.
He further said, Sindh province is enriched with natural resources and its people are education friendly, and added, Shah Mehmoood Qureshi during his recent visit of Sindh Province, has admired its people, which was a proof of our successfulness.
The Chief Minister, admiring the services of Sindh NOWA Pirbhat and its PD Mola Bux Larik, has said that NOWA Pirbhat was providing modern education to 4 thousand children of 22 schools of District Khairpur, which was an admirable act. He announced a grant of Rs.25 lacs for the development of NOWA Pirbhat.
Earlier this PD NOWA Pirbhat Mola Bux Larik, addressing the program said, the organization had started work since, 1992 and provided education to 2800 girls through Social Action Program in rural areas. During past 14 years, besides the girl education, their mothers were also provided education trainings, he added.—INP
