IGP awards Karak police for arresting notorious PO
PESHAWAR—The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani awarded Karak police officials on arresting a notorious proclaimed offender sentenced to death six times by the court.
The ceremony to this affect was held at CPO Peshawar on Sunday.
According to details, an encounter took place between accused Hakim Zada and Karak police in the mountains of Speena Bana and the accused was arrested in injured condition.
Hakim Zada was wanted to police in different murder cases in which he had killed six women and three men. The accused was sentenced six time death penalty by the court and was decamped from Bannu jail during militants attack.
After decamping from jail he kept continued killing spree and also remained involved in dacoit and kidnapping for ransom.
The encounter with the police he fired and critically injured a person who was grazing his cattle in the hills of Zarhay Speena Banda. The DPO himself led the police party from the front by wearing bullet proof jacket and after three hours encounter the accused was arrested in injured condition.
One Kalashnikov, four magazine, 100 rounds, one bundle wear and two hand grenade recovered from him.
Similarly the police party of Gurguri police station in an action had foiled the smuggling of charas from Karak to Punjab by recovering 67 kg of charas from the secret cavities of a motor car.
Addressing on the occasion the IGP Nasir Khan Durrani appreciated the performance of Karak police in these cases by saying that the DPO and his team was exhibiting excellent policing to be emulated by rest of the jawans of the force.
The awardees were directed to further expedite their action against the out laws particularly the narcotics smugglers with the active support of the general public.—APP
