OBSERVER REPORT ISLAMABAD—The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Ch Abdul Majeed has said that human resources were more important than capital recourses and AJK has huge potential in human development sector. Government is striving for uplift of labourers living standard. In his message in connection with World Labour Day on Sunday the AJK Premier said that development of a country was impossible without the prosperity of labourers. “Labourers contribute the most to the national economy.

Their prosperity and empowerment is vital for achieving the development goals,” Prime Minister said. “Islam has declared labourers God’s favourites,” the PM said.

Ch Majeed said that on Labour Day, there was need to renew the pledge that all-out support would be extended for the welfare of labourers and protection of their rights. He said AJK’s workforce had the potential to achieve the targets of development.

“Our workforce is the backbone of national economy… that is why the state government is committed to their well-being,” the AJK PM said. He said several schemes had been launched to provide health, housing and education facilities to labourers.
