Rain, strong gusty winds for KP, FATA

IS­LAM­ABAD— Tem­per­a­ture is on the rise in dif­fer­ent cities of the Pak­istan, with Okara top­ping the heat with 40 de­grees Cel­sius while La­hore stands at 34øC on Mon­day. Ac­cord­ing to Pak­istan Me­te­o­ro­log­i­cal De­part­ment ( PMD), dry and hot weather will main­tain its course in dif­fer­ent cities in the com­ing days.

Tem­per­a­ture is likely to hit 47øC in Sindh’s Dadu and Nawab­shah. How­ever, weather in Karachi will re­main dry and hot in com­ing 24 hours. Karachi tem­per­a­ture will re­main be­tween 36øC to 38øC ac­cord­ing to the de­part­ment con­cerned. Sukkur, Ja­cob­a­bad and Larkana will have max­i­mum tem­per­a­ture of 44øC- 45øC to­day. Hy­der­abad’s mer­cury will rise up to 44øC while that in Badin and Mir­pur Khas to 43øC.

Mean­while, the Pe­shawar Met Of­fice on Mon­day fore­cast partly cloudy weather for most parts of Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa, how­ever light rain- thun­der­storm with strong gusty winds are ex­pected in iso­lated places for next 24 to 48 hours. The ligh- rain with strong gusty winds to be oc­curred in D I Khan, Tank, Bannu, Lakki Mar­wat, Ko­hat, Hangu, Karak, Pe­shawar, Charsadda, and South Waziris­tan Agen­cies in FATA.—
