UN resolutions provide basis for Kashmir solution
SRINAGAR— In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Geelani, has said that the UN resolutions are very much relevant and provide the basis for settlement of the Kashmir dispute. Syed Ali Geelani told reporters at his residence in Srinagar that a statement from any UN or Indian official cannot lessen the significance of these resolutions, which guarantee right to self- determination to the Kashmiris.
The APHC Chairman pointed out that India was signatory to 18 UN resolutions on Kashmir that promised this right to the Kashmiri people. Syed Ali Geelani said that India had made the people of Kashmir hostage at gunpoint.— KMS
