Sam­sung KNOX re­ceives ‘ Strong’ rat­ings

LAHORE— Sam­sung Elec­tron­ics Co., Ltd., Tues­day, an­nounced that Sam­sung KNOX 2.6, Sam­sung’s built in de­fense grade se­cu­rity that is ready for work right out of the box, re­ceived the most “Strong” rat­ings of any mo­bile se­cu­rity plat­form in the re­port “Mo­bile De­vice Se­cu­rity: A Com­par­i­son of Plat­forms” from Gart­ner, Inc. The re­port, pub­lished on April 6, 2016 com­pared the core OS se­cu­rity fea­tures built into twelve mo­bile de­vice plat­forms as well as en­ter­prise man­age­ment ca­pa­bil­i­ties.

Gart­ner notes, “Se­cu­rity pro­fes­sion­als must make in­formed de­ci­sions about de­ploy­ing man­age­ment soft­ware or mo­bile se­cu­rity apps, or whether they can rely on the var­i­ous de­vices’ se­cu­rity con­trols. This as­sess­ment fo­cuses on the se­cu­rity re­quire­ments that ap­ply to mo­bile de­vices and com­pares the most pop­u­lar mo­bile de­vice plat­forms with re­spect to these re­quire­ments.”
