PE­SHAWAR— Leg­end crick­eter- turn- politi­cian Im­ran Khan Tues­day in­au­gu­rated the big­gest ever and colour­ful Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa Un­der- 23 Inter- Re­gional Games car­ry­ing more than 3000 male and fe­male ath­letes here at Lala Ayub Hockey Sta­dium.

The most awaited Games car­ry­ing 15 male and 13 fe­male events to be played on dif­fer­ent venues and would con­tinue for the three- day. Be­sides Im­ran Khan and his lot of fans, Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa Sport Min­is­ter Mehmood Khan, for­mer In­forma- tion Min­is­ter Shah Far­man, Min­is­ter for Ed­u­ca­tion Atif- ur- Rehman, Ad­viser to the Chief Min­is­ter on In­for­ma­tion and Higher Ed­u­ca­tion Mush­taq Ghani, Chief Sec­re­tary KP Am­jad Ali Khan, Ad­di­tional Chief Sec­re­tary Azam Khan, Ad­di­tional Sec­re­tary Sports and Tourism Tariq Khan, Chair­man of the Or­ga­niz­ing Com­mit­tee and Deputy Sec­re­tary Sprots Adil Saeed Safi, Di­rec­tor Gen­eral Sports Miss Rashida Ghaz­navi, for­mer World Cham­pion Qa­mar Za­man, peo­ple from dif­fer­ent walk of life, lead­ing sports per­son­al­i­ties, of­fi­cials, play­ers and large num­ber of spec­ta­tors were also present.— APP
