Voice of the People

Pakistan Observer - - OPINION - SYED NAJAF RAZA

A year has elapsed, but no interest has shown by the government or anyone else to find out the hands behind the murder of Dr. Waheed-ur-Rahman, Chairman of Mass Communication Department Karachi University. He was a true gentleman and above all a true teacher. We have a right to ask the government as to who is responsible for this horrible act of violence. He was our teacher and we respected him like our father. We are not enemies of nation, we are the future of this nation, and we want answer.

Similarly, Prof. Dr Muhammad Shakeel Auj, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, University of Karachi was shot dead. What are the missing links in these cases? Two people were arrested but who was the master mind in this assassination; who was the planner and who was the assassin. We, the students of Karachi University have lost two of our brightest stars. Who is to be questioned and who is to be blamed on this horrible act of violence? —Karachi
