Kuwait hosts Int’l Humanitarian Forum
OBSERVER REPORT JEDDAH—The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold the Fourth International Humanitarian Forum in the capital Kuwait next Sunday in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Rahma International of Kuwait which hosts the event, in addition to Turkish IHH, International Islamic Relief Organization, Qatar Charity, Munazzamat al-Da’wa alIslamiia, and MEDAD Center.
The Forum will be held under the theme “Partnership: Strength and Sustainability” with a view to finalizing discussion of the code of conduct of the International Humanitarian Forum and the international organizations guide in the area of security risks which constitute an important basis for the work of humanitarian and relief organizations.
The Forum will last for two days during which five sessions will be held and will focus on “available opportunities among Islamic humanitarian institutions and local, regional and international organizations”, and on “partnership in humanitarian action”, in addition to a session to assess the progress in the implementation of the recommendations of the first and second sessions of the International Humanitarian Forum held in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the third session held in Doha.
On the other hand, the Humanitarian Forum is expected to witness the signature of agreements and MoUs for establishing partnerships in the humanitarian field.
