Winners of Hifz-oQirat competition awarded cash prizes
ISLAMABAD—Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf on Thursday distributed cash prizes and certificates among the winners of the Annual National Hifz-o-Qirat competition held here. The distribution ceremony of cash prizes and certificates was organized by the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) and International Organization for Tahfeez-e-Quran Kareem. Around 65 ‘Huffaz and Qurah’ from all over the country won the cash prizes with certificates in different categories.
The first, second and third position holders were awarded cash prize of Rs 10,000, Rs 8,000 and Rs 6,000 respectively. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister congratulated the successful contestants of National Hifz-o-Qirat competition and said that Quran and Sunnah provides complete code of life for the whole humanity.
Sardar Yousaf said that the Muslims could improve their image by following the teachings of Quran and life of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).
While stressing for unity and harmony among the Muslim Ummah, he said, “We should put aside our internal difference and forge unity among our ranks.” Federal Minister for Religious Affairs also awarded personally cash prize of Rs 10,000 among the top six position holders of the event.—APP
