Pakistan Observer - - TWIN CITIES - STAFF REPORTER

RAWALPINDI —While talking to the monthly Ijlas of Shura Hamdard former Naval Chief Admiral Iftikhar Ahmed Sirohey and other scholars of Shura Hamdard said that to become a united nation we have to practice Urdu as our language in all fields including education. Though Quaid-e-Azam announced Urdu as national language of Pakistan but unfortunately its implementation is still pending and recent Supreme Court orders are also not followed completely.

When The Muslim conquered the world they translated all the subjects in Arabic and their research is still guideline for the world. We can also make rapid development if we educate our children in our national language. The topic of Ijlas was “SCIENCEI ALUM KI QOUMI ZUBAN MAIN TARWEEJ”. National President of Shura Hamdard Sadia Rashid said that Urdu is our national language and every Pakistani can easily speak and understand it. All developed countries are examples, they translate and educate all the technologies in their own language to achieve the quick development.

We also need to follow it. Prof. Niaz Erfan, Sanaullah Akhtar, Dr. S. M. Zaman, Dr. Riaz Ahmed, M. Aurangzaib Awan, Naeem Akram Qureshi and S. MansoorAqil also express their views on the topic and highlighted the need and importance of adopting Urdu as National Language. They also demanded to start Urdu as the medium of education in science and technology in the country. It was also suggested that the government should ask to United Nations to add Urdu among its official languages as according UNESCO it is the 2nd among the most known languages of the world.
