LA­HORE—Se­nior of­fi­cials of World Food Pro­gramme along with the Agro Econ­o­mists vis­ited the of­fice of Pun­jab Board of In­vest­ment and Trade to­day to de­cide the mu­tu­ally ben­e­fi­cial way for­ward per­tain­ing to Steel Multi- Grain Si­los project.

Speak­ing to the me­dia the CEO PBIT said that self­suf­fi­ciency in food grains re­quires ad­e­quate fa­cil­i­ties for its stor­age. The ex­ist­ing stor­age fa­cil­i­ties avail­able are in­suf­fi­cient at var­i­ous lev­els for large in­crease in pro­duc­tion”. “Steel Mul­tiGrain Si­los presents a highly lu­cra­tive op­por­tu­nity for in­vest­ing in the agribusi­ness value chain for ‘best prac­tice stor­age solutions” of agri­cul­tural pro­duce where cur­rent post-har­vest losses can be trans­formed into eco­nomic gain” she added.
