PPAF train­ing work­shops for KP teachers

PE­SHAWAR—The Pak­istan Poverty Al­le­vi­a­tion Fund (PPAF) in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Changes In Ed­u­ca­tion (CIE) or­ga­nized skills train­ing work­shops for teachers of Dera Is­mail Khan Gov­ern­ment Pri­mary Schools, Mid­dle Schools and Higher Se­condary Schools un­der its Liveli­hood En­hance­ment and Pro­tec­tion of Small Com­mu­nity In­fra­struc­ture Pro­gram (LACIP).

The train­ing were im­parted by ex­pert train­ers of Roots Na­tional In­sti­tute of Teachers Train­ing and Ed­u­ca­tion (RNITE) and shared teach­ing the­o­ries, strate­gies and 21st cen­tury teach­ing prac­tices among the teachers along with prac­ti­cal im­ple­men­ta­tion meth­ods in the class­rooms.

The method­olo­gies and stan­dards used by the train­ers en­hanced the eval­u­a­tion, class­room man­age­ment and as­sess­ment skills of gov­ern­ment school teachers. Group ac­tiv­i­ties were de­signed to shift the fo­cus of their ap­proach from teacher to stu­dent cen­tric.

In the work­shops, as many as 31 fe­male teachers and 50 male teachers par­tic­i­pated and learned mod­ern trends, in­no­va­tive teach­ing ideas and team­work ac­tiv­i­ties.
