Faiz Baloch re­mem­bered

ISLAMABAD—The death an­niver­sary of fa­mous Baloch folk singer Faiz Mo­ham­mad Baloch was ob­served on Fri­day. He was born in 1900 in Qasar Qand (Iran). His most pop­u­lar songs are: ‘Laila O Laila, Biya tara baran saila’, ‘Musqat e Mehruk’, ‘Bag e Bul­bula’, and ‘Mai Zameen o As­maana’.

He re­ceived the pride of per­for­mance from the Govt of Pak­istan. Faiz Mo­ham­mad joined Ra­dio Pak­istan in 1948 reg­u­larly. He also got ed­u­ca­tion of clas­si­cal mu­sic by Us­tad Ramzan. The leg­end folk singer died on May 6, 1980 in Quetta, Balochis­tan.
