Ebad lauds contribution of missionary academic institutions
KARACHI—Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan has lauded the contributions of the missionary academic institutions in the province especially in the provincial metropolis.
This contributed towards promotion of education and provision of modern and quality education to the students, he remarked while talking to Sister Mary Langan of the Convent of Jesus and Mary here on Friday.
Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan said that those who passed out from such institutions have excelled in various spheres of life because in these institutions attention is also paid toward personality-building besides imparting knowledge.
He was of the view that excellent academic performance of these institutions also speaks of the hard work on the part of their managements.
The Governor also sought information regarding the new building of the Convent and assured that any hurdles in this regard would be removed.
He said that for the construction work besides the government funds, assistance of the private sector would also be sought. Ebad said that with the construction of the new building more students would be able to acquire education. Sister Mary thanked the Governor for support for the construction of the Convent’s new building. Sister Berchmans was also present during the meeting, it was further stated.—APP
