Ebad lauds con­tri­bu­tion of mis­sion­ary aca­demic in­sti­tu­tions

KARACHI—Gover­nor Sindh Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan has lauded the con­tri­bu­tions of the mis­sion­ary aca­demic in­sti­tu­tions in the prov­ince es­pe­cially in the pro­vin­cial me­trop­o­lis.

This con­trib­uted to­wards pro­mo­tion of ed­u­ca­tion and pro­vi­sion of mod­ern and qual­ity ed­u­ca­tion to the stu­dents, he re­marked while talk­ing to Sis­ter Mary Lan­gan of the Con­vent of Je­sus and Mary here on Fri­day.

Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan said that those who passed out from such in­sti­tu­tions have ex­celled in var­i­ous spheres of life be­cause in these in­sti­tu­tions at­ten­tion is also paid to­ward per­son­al­ity-build­ing be­sides im­part­ing knowl­edge.

He was of the view that ex­cel­lent aca­demic per­for­mance of these in­sti­tu­tions also speaks of the hard work on the part of their man­age­ments.

The Gover­nor also sought in­for­ma­tion re­gard­ing the new build­ing of the Con­vent and as­sured that any hur­dles in this re­gard would be re­moved.

He said that for the con­struc­tion work be­sides the gov­ern­ment funds, as­sis­tance of the pri­vate sec­tor would also be sought. Ebad said that with the con­struc­tion of the new build­ing more stu­dents would be able to ac­quire ed­u­ca­tion. Sis­ter Mary thanked the Gover­nor for sup­port for the con­struc­tion of the Con­vent’s new build­ing. Sis­ter Ber­ch­mans was also present dur­ing the meet­ing, it was fur­ther stated.—APP
