Three day Jashan-e-Latif starts

LARKANA—Three day ac­tiv­i­ties of ‘Jashan-e-Latif’ kicked off in Larkana. Di­rec­tor Sind­hol­ogy Saeed Ahmed Mangi and Com­mis­sioner Larkana Ghu­lam Ak­bar Leghari in­au­gu­rated the cer­e­mony at Arts Council. On the oc­ca­sion books fes­ti­val was also set up at Bhi­tai Adbi Hall in Arts Council.

A large num­ber of peo­ple be­long­ing to dif­fer­ent walks of life among peo­ple of lit­er­ary field par­tic­i­pated in pro­gramme. They ex­pressed their keen in­ter­est in books and re­search pa­pers on po­etry of renowned saint and sofi poet Shah Ab­dul Latif Bhi­tai.

Saeed Ahmed Mangi, Com­mis­sioner Larkana Ghu­lam Ak­bar Leghari, no­table in­tel­lec­tu­als Jami Chan-dio, Dr Preh Sak­ina Gaad, Naimat Khelji, Rizwan Gul, Dr Ah­san Dan­ish, Dr Amina Soomro, Ri­azat Buriro and oth­ers spoke at in­au­gu­ral cer­e­mony. De­spite of pass­ing sev­eral cen­turies, still po­etry is alive and guide­line for Sindh peo­ple.
