Bahrain Pak em­bassy widens con­tacts with own com­mu­nity


ISLAMABAD—Javed Ma­lik, Pak­istan’s Am­bas­sador to the King­dom of Bahrain has launched a spe­cial ini­tia­tive, aimed at reach­ing out and en­gag­ing with Pak­istani com­mu­nity in Bahrain and build­ing a pos­i­tive re­la­tion­ship be­tween them and the Em­bassy.

The ini­tia­tive aims to hold reg­u­lar com­mu­nity in­ter­ac­tions and events at Pak­istan Em­bassy with a view to fur­ther strengthen the bond be­tween the com­mu­nity and their em­bassy, said a mes­sage re­ceived here on Satur­day.

It would also en­cour­age tal­ented Pak­ista­nis and rec­og­nize them for their con­tri­bu­tions and achieve­ments. Speak­ing at the in­au­gu­ral ses­sion held at the Pak­istan Em­bassy, Am­bas­sador Javed Ma­lik said “We aim to build a pos­i­tive part­ner­ship be­tween the Pak­istani com­mu­nity and the Em­bassy of Pak­istan and work to­gether as a team to col­lec­tively pro­mote Pak­istan in Bahrain and the re­gion”. This, he said, would also cre­ate op­por­tu­ni­ties for ex­change of ideas and dis­cuss so­lu­tions to the is­sues be­ing faced by them. He fur­ther added “the gov­ern­ment un­der the lead­er­ship of Prime Min­is­ter Nawaz Sharif at­taches a lot of im­por­tance to the valu­able role be­ing played by the over­seas Pak­ista­nis and it re­mains our pri­or­ity to fa­cil­i­tate you in ev­ery way pos­si­ble”. In or­der to ap­pre­ci­ate some Pak­istani artists and pro­fes­sion­als that had as­sisted in or­ga­niz­ing the Pak­istanBahrain Friend­ship Week 2016, Am­bas­sador Javed Ma­lik pre­sented them with “Ap­pre­ci­a­tion Cer­tifi­cates”.
