Haq wins 1st All Karachi Rashid Sid­diqui cy­cle race

KARACHI— Haq Nawaz from Malir Dis­trict won the 1st All Karachi Rashid Sid­diqui Cy­cle Race by com­plet­ing 50- kilo­me­ter jour­ney within 1h: 24m: 03s.

Karachi Cy­cling As­so­ci­a­tion ( KCA) or­gan­ised the race in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Pak­istan Sports Wel­fare As­so­ci­a­tion ( PSWA) on Sun­day at Rail­way Sta­dium.

The race was or­gan­ised in me­mory of sport jour­nal­ist late Rashid Sid­diqui. The event was spon­sored by Na­tional Bank of Pak­istan ( NBP).

Naeem Ahmed from Dis­trict South stood sec­ond and Abubakar from Ko­rangi Dis­trict came third.

As many as 42 cy­clists from six dis­tricts of Karachi com­peted in the race.

Head of CSR NBP, Owais Asad Khan, said that be­sides ed­u­ca­tion, NBP is play­ing its due role in pro­mot­ing health ac­tiv­i­ties, adding that it would ex­tend all pos­si­ble sup­port in the field of sports.

He as­sured KCA and PSWA that cy­cle race would be or­gan­ised at Sindh level in fu­ture.— APP
