Those rais­ing voice for Karachi­ites be­ing mur­dered mer­ci­lessly: Bi­lawal


KARACHI— Bi­lawal Bhutto Zar­dari, Chair­man of Pak­istan Peo­ple’s Party, Sun­day took se­ri­ous no­tice of the bru­tal mur­der of civil so­ci­ety ac­tivist Khur­ram Zaki in North Karachi and urged the au­thor­i­ties to fer­ret out the cul­prit and bring them to book at the ear­li­est.

Con­demn­ing the mur­der of Khur­ram Zaki, PPP Chair­man paid trib­utes to the slain civil so­ci­ety ac­tivist, who he said, al­ways stood against in­jus­tices and atroc­i­ties against the in­no­cent peo­ple in the coun­try.

Bi­lawal ex­pressed sym­pa­thy with the fam­ily of Zaki and as­sured them that the killers won’t be spared and they can­not go scot- free un­der any cir­cum­stances.

The PPP chair­man stated that the in­di­vid­u­als rais­ing their voice for the peo­ple of Karachi are be­ing killed mer­ci­lessly.

Last night, four sus­pects rid­ing on two mo­tor­cy­cles opened fire on Zaki at a tea shop lo­cated in Sec­tor- 11B of North Karachi. The ac­tivist was killed, and two oth­ers – jour­nal­ist Rao Khalid and by­stander As­lam – were crit­i­cally wounded in the at­tack.— NNI
