Yellow box of happiness

Pakistan Observer - - OPINION - YAMNA BATOOL

Recently a service delivery firm has taken a fascinating initiative of launching an innovative idea to provide food to less privileged people in Peshawar who barely afford three times meal a day. They have arranged tidy jumbo yellow box which has been tagged as the “Box of Happiness” by them with a smiley face emoji. The box provides needy and hungry people with free of cost food, especially labourere who work hard all day in harsh sun.

The box is filled with small containers of Biryani and Kabuli Pulao at lunch and dinner time. This unique effort for the sake of humanity, to bring joy on the faces of poor people is undoubtedly a tremendous initiative. If we can have a wall of kindness to dress people, we surely can have the happiness boxes everywhere in our country to feed those who need it. Therefore, it should be acknowledged and appreciated by the society and government because it will not only help reduce poverty but also would showcase a better image of Pakistan. — Karachi
