FMC holds work­shop on in­te­grated cur­ricu­lum

IS­LAM­ABAD— Med­i­cal Ed­u­ca­tion Depart­ment of Fazaia Med­i­cal Col­lege, Air Univer­sity has ar­ranged an in­ter­ac­tive work­shop on “In­te­grated Cur­ricu­lum” here at main cam­pus Is­lam­abad says a press re­lease. Prin­ci­pal FMC, Head of De­part­ments, Fac­ulty mem­bers and Clin­i­cians from Pak­istan Air Force hospi­tal at­tended the work­shop. Pro­fes­sor Dr. Muham­mad Luq­man, Di­rec­tor, Depart­ment of Med­i­cal Ed­u­ca­tion Yusra Med­i­cal & Den­tal Col­lege was fa­cil­i­ta­tor of the work­shop. Pro­fes­sor Luq­man ex­plained the im­por­tance and sig­nif­i­cance of in­te­grated cur­ricu­lum.

He said that the in­te­gra­tion of cur­ricu­lum is meant to make the teach­ing and learn­ing ac­tiv­i­ties mean­ing­ful. The in­te­grated cur­ricu­lum helps med­i­cal stu­dents to put to­gether the learned facts so as to get the whole pic­ture and adopt the holis­tic ap­proach while treat­ing a pa­tient or plan­ning a health­care strate­gies. The work­shop com­prised on mul­ti­ple in­ter­ac­tive ses­sions and pre­sen­ta­tions of par­tic­i­pants. At the end of work­shop, Prin­ci­pal FMC Pro­fes­sor. Maj Gen (r) Sal­man Ali thanked Pro­fes­sor Luq­man for his valu­able con­tri­bu­tion for the knowl­edge en­hance­ment of FMC fac­ulty, stu­dents and other par­tic­i­pants. He added that such work­shops will surely give knowl­edge boost to par­tic­i­pants and pledged to con­tinue sim­i­lar work­shops in fu­ture at FMC.
