Sem­i­nar on Train­ing Need Anal­y­sis or­ga­nized at Res­cue 1122

RAWALPINDI—A day-long Train­ing Need Anal­y­sis sem­i­nar was held here at Emer­gency Ser­vices Academy (ESA) to stan­dard­ize train­ing mod­ules as per op­er­a­tional re­quire­ments.

Di­rec­tor Gen­eral ESA, Res­cue 1122, Brig. (R) Amir Hamza chaired the sem­i­nar, which was at­tended by the Reg­is­trar Academy Dr Muham­mad Farhan Khalid, Re­gional Emer­gency Of­fi­cers (North & South) Mian Rif­fat Zia and Dr Zaf­far Shah, Deputy Di­rec­tor (P&D) Fa­heem Ah­mad Qureshi, Deputy Di­rec­tor (HR) Dr Foaad Shahzad Mirza, DD, Fi­nance Naeem Mukhtar, DD (R&M) Engr. Ir­fan Naseer, DD, Op­er­a­tions Ayaz As­lam, District Emer­gency Of­fi­cer Rawalpindi Dr. Ab­dur Rehman, DEO Sialkot Syed Ka­mal Abid, DEO RY Khan Dr Ab­dul Staar Babar be­sides other of­fi­cers and other fac­ulty mem­bers of the Academy, says a press re­lease is­sued here on Tues­day.

The DEOs Rawalpindi, R.Y Khan, Sialkot and other se­nior of­fi­cers pre­sented up­graded train­ing mod­ules for dif­fer­ent cour­ses in­clud­ing Moun­tain Res­cue etc.

The house com­pris­ing of se­nior of­fi­cers of dis­tricts, Res­cue 1122 Head­quar­ters and the fac­ulty of the ESA unan­i­mously agreed upon the up­graded cour­ses for fi­nal im­ple­men­ta­tion for ul­ti­mate bet­ter­ment of the Ser­vice.

Brig. (R) Amir Hamza ad­dress­ing the sem­i­nar said that this was need of the hour to fi­nal­ize train­ing mod­ules, dif­fer­ent level cour­ses thus open­ing the long awaited pro­mo­tional cri­te­ria for res­cue of­fi­cers and of­fi­cials.

All the stake­hold­ers have unan­i­mously adopted the cour­ses, he said, adding, such cour­ses are nec­es­sary for ca­pac­ity build­ing of of­fi­cers, in­struc­tors and res­cuers in or­der to en­hance their the­o­ret­i­cal and prac­ti­cal knowl­edge and skills.

Brig. Amir Hamza stated that the­o­ret­i­cal and prac­ti­cal train­ing is be­ing im­parted to res­cue cadets in the ESA through the best avail­able trained in­struc­tors and the per­for­mance of Res­cue 1122 dur­ing dif­fer­ent emer­gency op­er­a­tions re­flect the train­ing stan­dards of the Academy.

He fur­ther said that the train­ing fa­cil­ity of Mur­ree will be uti­lized in fu­ture for ef­fec­tive man­age­ment of height res­cue and fall from height res­cue op­er­a­tions.

Later, the DG PES, Res­cue 1122, Brig. (R) Dr. Ar­shad Zia also joined the sem­i­nar and thanked all the of­fi­cers and fac­ulty of the Academy for brain­storm­ing and ar­range­ments of the sem­i­nar.—APP
