KPT win against NBP in Foot­ball Tour­na­ment

KARACHI—Karachi Port Trust (KPT) de­feated Na­tional Bank of Pak­istan (NBP) af­ter in­ter­est­ing com­pe­ti­tion in 2nd Na­tional Bank Tro­phy Dr. Muham­mad Ali Shah Memo­rial Foot­ball Tour­na­ment.

The Tour­na­ment was or­ga­nized by Karachi Kick­ers Foot­ball Club at Dr. Muham­mad Ali Shah Ground. NBP was spon­sor of the event.KPT won the tour­na­ment against NBP by 1-0 when KPT Star For­ward Asif made sin­gle goal at end­ing mo­ment of the match.

The fi­nal of Tour­na­ment would be played on June 05.

Ear­lier, the in­au­gu­ra­tion was per­formed by Head of CSR De­part­ment of NPB, Owais Asad Khan. Speak­ing on the oc­ca­sion, he as­sured to pro­vide all kinds of fa­cil­i­ties to play­ers to pro­mote such games.

An­wer Fa­rooqi, Qa­mar Ali Qureshi, Ghu­lam Muham­mad Khan and Az­mat­ul­lah Khan were present on the oc­ca­sion.—APP said all sports boards in­clud­ing that of cricket were an­swer­able to the par­lia­ment.

Dur­ing a dis­cus­sion in the Se­nate on the ad­journ­ment mo­tion re­gard­ing mis­man­age­ment of af­fairs in the Pak­istan Cricket Board, the min­is­ter said of­fi­cials of the Pak­istan Cricket Board would be sum­moned to the meet­ing of the Se­nate’s con­cerned stand­ing com­mit­tee in La­hore to ask about the rel­e­vant
