Three tube wells to be in­stalled in city

LA­HORE—Mem­ber Pro­vin­cial Assem­bly Ma­jid Za­hoor has said that three more tube wells would be in­stalled in the pro­vin­cial me­trop­o­lis to en­sure con­tin­u­ous sup­ply of wa­ter to the cit­i­zens.

Talk­ing to me­dia here Tues­day, he said that Wa­ter and San­i­ta­tion Agency (WASA) had been di­rected to in­stall three tube-wells in Re­gal, Old Anarkali and Is­lam­pura ar­eas of the city.

He said that all pos­si­ble re­sources were be­ing utilised for re­duc­ing the eco­nomic bur­den and rais­ing the liv­ing stan­dard of the de­prived seg­ment of so­ci­ety.

He said that due to the gov­ern­ment steps and hold­ing of special bazaars, the prices of edi­ble items have sta­bilised and an ef­fec­tive mon­i­tor­ing of veg­etable mar­kets is also un­der­way in this re­gard.

“The PML-N gov­ern­ment is work­ing round-the-clock for cop­ing with the en­ergy cri­sis,” he said.

He ex­pressed the hope that en­ergy cri­sis would be over­come soon.
