Education budgetary allocation being increased
ISLAMABAD— Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Baligh Ur Rehman Wednesday said the government was taking concrete measures to increase budgetary allocation for education. During question-hour in the senate, the minister said the expenditure on education was around two percent of GDP, which was steadily increasing according to fiscal space. All governments including federal and provincial were committed to achieve four percent of GDP, he added. Bedsides, due to better tax to GDP ratio and growth in economy (GDP), the provinces were getting much larger fiscal space.
