IUB veterinary doctors visit Cholistan
OUR CORRESPONDENT BAHAWALPUR—A medical team of College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) visited different areas of Cholistan desert and examined respiratory disease in camels. The team members visited desert Ranger’s camel farm in Mojhgarh, Chak No. 335 and 430 and Tobajat Kun-dal and Munshiwala.
They also collected blood and nasal samples of effected camels for laboratory tests. University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore and Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Department were also present on the occasion.
It is important to mention here that respiratory disease among camels has been observed in some partsof Thar and Cholistan desert. Punjab government dispatched special teams to these areas.
