SMIS in­au­gu­rated

PESHAWAR— Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa Min­is­ter for El­e­men­tary and Sec­ondary Ed­u­ca­tion, Atif Khan Wed­nes­day in­au­gu­rated School Man­age­ment In­for­ma­tion Sys­tem (SMIS) to in­te­grate and cen­tral­ize data of ed­u­ca­tional in­sti­tu­tions in KPK. The in­au­gu­ra­tion cer­e­mony held in Govern­ment Girls Higher Sec­ondary School Lady Grif­fith which was at­tended by con­cerned of­fi­cials of the ed­u­ca­tion de­part­ment. Speak­ing on the oc­ca­sion, Atif Khan said that SMIS would com­put­er­ize all the data of KP schools and con­nect it with ed­u­ca­tion direc­torate. The newly in­tro­duced sys­tem would prove to be mile­stone achieve­ment of pro­vin­cial govern­ment to bring govern­ment schools at par with the ed­u­ca­tional in­sti­tu­tions run by pri­vate sec­tor, he added.
