Pun­jab to en­hance skill, knowl­edge of govt of­fi­cers

LAHORE—Pun­jab gov­ern­ment is com­mit­ted to en­hance skills and knowl­edge of gov­ern­ment of­fi­cers work­ing. In order to build the ca­pac­ity of the gov­ern­ment of­fi­cers, Pun­jab Plan­ning & De­vel­op­ment Depart­ment in­tended to hold se­ries of such short train­ing pro­grams from top in­sti­tutes on key ar­eas in­clud­ing pro­cure­ment, project man­age­ment and Mon­i­tor­ing & Eval­u­a­tion etc.

Pun­jab Sec­re­tary Plan­ning & De­vel­op­ment Iftikhar Ali Sa­hoo said this while chair­ing and ad­dress­ing the clos­ing cer­e­mony of short train­ing course on “Pub­lic Sec­tor Pro­cure­ment Man­age­ment” for gov­ern­ment of­fi­cers con­cluded on Thurs­day at Lahore Univer­sity of Man­age­ment Sciences (LUMS). Ad­dress­ing the cer­e­mony, Sec­re­tary P&D high­lighted the chal­lenges be­ing faced by the Gov­ern­ment In­sti­tu­tions dur­ing pro­cure­ment.

He also lauded the ef­forts of PRMP and LUMS for ar­rang­ing th­ese short train­ing pro­grams in short span of time. Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor Pun­jab Pro­cure­ment Reg­u­la­tory Au­thor­ity (PPRA) Ali Ba­hadur Qazi.
