Chairman BISE inspects HSSC exam centres
RAWALPINDI—Chairman, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi, Dr. Muhammad Zareef Thursday visited different Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC), Inter exam centers set up in different schools of Tehsil Gujar Khan.
He said, all available resources are being mobilized for making the examination process transparent. The Chairman inspected the arrangements and inquired from the students, who expressed satisfaction on the arrangements.
The Chairman during the visit issued orders for immediate redressal of the complaints by some students. Later, talking to media he said, the Board is determined to providing best facilities to the students and is pursuing a zero tolerance policy against corruption. Keeping in view the security situation, foolproof arrangements have been made, he said and informed that he himself is monitoring all arrangements in the examination centers and keeps visiting different centers set up in far-flung areas of the division.
He warned that strict action would be taken against exam staff showing negligence in performing their responsibilities. He said, “we should provide the students a conducive environment to appear in examinations and excel on merit.”
The SOPs and instructions issued by Secretary Higher Education, Punjab are being followed strictly, he said adding, special vigilance committees have also been formed in four districts of Rawalpindi division. Referring Punjab government’s initiatives taken for preventing cheating, he said certain measures have been taken to control it.
