RCB seals 30 properties of tax defaulters
RAWALPINDI—The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) enforcement team in a crackdown against property tax defaulters on Friday sealed 30 properties in different areas.
According to RCB spokesman, the civic body sealed the properties in Saddar, Westridge, Naseerabad, Tench Bhatta, Masrial, Awan Town, Dhoke Mustakeem, Chungi No 22, and Peshawar Road as their owners could not pay property tax for the last several years.
The spokesman said, the RCB teams also disconnected water supply connections of 40 domestic and commercial units in different areas as the owners failed to pay the water supply charges while Rs 4.6 million water and property tax charges have been recovered during two days.
On the special directive of Cantonment Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Saima Shah, campaign to recover water charges has been accelerated, he said and warned the resident that stern action would be taken against tax defaulters.—APP
