The MoU recognizes that mutual scientific and technical cooperation will advance the state of science, engineering and technology within the country, and strengthen the technological infrastructure and bring benefits to both the institutions.

The MoU was signed between PINSATPreston University and IST at a signing ceremony held at Preston University.

Butt, Chairman Preston Institute of Nano Science and Technology sinned the MoU on behalf of PINSAT. Dr. Abdul Basit, Chancellor Preston University was also conspicuous by his presence at the signing ceremony. The primary objective of the MoU is to establish a formal linkage between the two institutions to boost research and technical cooperation in engineering science and technology in general and nanomaterials science and technology in particular, within the country and abroad, to bring benefit to both institutions by sharing resources wherever possible.
