Devel­op­ment schemes of Rs21b ap­proved

LAHORE—The Pun­jab Provin­cial Devel­op­ment Work­ing Party ap­proved five devel­op­ment schemes of devel­op­ment sec­tors with an es­ti­mated cost of Rs. 21628.242 mil­lion. These schemes were ap­proved in the meet­ing of Provin­cial Devel­op­ment Work­ing Party (PDWP) of cur­rent fis­cal year 2015-16 presided over by the Pun­jab Chair­man P&D Board Muham­mad Ja­hanzeb Khan. Mem­bers of the Plan­ning & Devel­op­ment Board, Provin­cial Sec­re­taries con­cerned and other se­nior rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the rel­e­vant Provin­cial De­part­ments also at­tended the meet­ing.

Ac­cord­ing to spokesman for P&DD, the ap­proved devel­op­ment schemes in­cluded: Es­tab­lish­ment in­clud­ing Civil Works, Pro­cure­ment, In­stal­la­tion and Main­te­nance of 12 Per­ma­nent & 36 Mo­bile Weigh Sta­tions un­der Axle Load Man­age­ment Regime in Pun­jab at the cost of Rs. 2817.19 mil­lion, Con­struc­tion of Khadam-e-Pun­jab Ru­ral Roads Pro­gram (KPRRP), Phase-III in Pun­jab High­ways Depart­ment, North Zone at the cost of Rs. 1690.064 mil­lion.
