Old en­mity claims two lives

BANNU—At least two per­sons in­clud­ing a shop­keeper were se­ri­ously wounded in fir­ing of armed men over old ri­valry. The se­cu­rity forces re­cov­ered huge cache of arms dur­ing search op­er­a­tion here on Satur­day.

Po­lice said that armed men of ri­val group opened in­dis­crim­i­nate fire at their op­po­nents in­jured in­jur­ing two peo­ple iden­ti­fied as Muhammad Nawaz and a shop­keeper Khur­shid Ahmed in Man­dan area of Bannu.

The cul­prits in­clud­ing Marsheed and Nour­sheed es­caped from the scene of the crime. Mean­while, Fron­tier Con­stab­u­lary (FC) men along with other law en­force­ment agen­cies (LEAs) per­son­nel con­ducted joint search op­er­a­tions in Narmi Khel, Takhti Khel, Baka Khel lo­cal­i­ties in Bannu.

Dur­ing search op­er­a­tions huge quan­tity of arms in­clud­ing 29 Kalash­nikovs, three heavy ma­chine guns, six three not three guns, six pis­tols, three 12 bore guns, 78 mag­a­zines and 3112 bul­lets of dif­fer­ent bores were re­cov­ered. How­ever, no ar­rest could be made dur­ing the op­er­a­tion.
