Aseefa pledges to sup­port cause of nurs­ing pro­fes­sion

AMANULLAH KHAN KARACHI—Aseefa Zar­dari Bhutto has pledged to her level best to sup­port the noble pro­fes­sion of nurses to serve the hu­man­ity and as­sured to be al­ways avail­able to ex­tend any kind of co­op­er­a­tion in this re­gard. Ad­dress­ing at the Pak­istan’s First Nurs­ing Award cer­e­mony, Aseefa Bhutto Zar­dari ac­knowl­edged the ser­vices of nurses not only in

Pak­istan but all over the world. The event was jointly or­ga­nized by Pak­istan Nurses Fo­rum and The Pro­fes­sion­als Net­work with the col­lab­o­ra­tion of Min­istry of Health Govern­ment of Sindh on the In­ter­na­tional Nurses Day 2016. Aseefa said that it is the noble pro­fes­sion and we all should rec­og­nize the ser­vices at all lev­els in­clud­ing Govern­ment, pri­vate and cor­po­rate and public. She also says that all other pro­fes­sions are time framed pro­fes­sion ex­cept the nurses pro­fes­sion which is 24/7 and they should be hon­ored not only on the nurs­ing day but on a daily ba­sis. Ex Se­na­tor Ab­dul Haseeb Khan, Chair­man KAATI Zahid Saeed and Chair­man PSO Sar­dar Yasin Malik also at­tended the event.

Speak­ing at the oc­ca­sion Sar­faraz Asif, Pres­i­dent PNF said that it was dreamed about 3 years back, when it was con­cep­tu­al­ized that the ser­vices of nurses in Pak­istan should be rec­og­nized at a vis­i­ble plat­form in the pres­ence of govern­ment, so­cial, nurs­ing and in­ter­na­tional rep­re­sen­ta­tives. Saleem Michale ad­vo­cate, Chair­man PNF also spoke at the oc­ca­sion. He an­nounced that the same event will be or­ga­nized in all four prov­inces and the next event will be held in La­hore for Pun­jab re­gion. Nadeem Sheikh ad­vo­cate, Pa­tron PNF thanked the chief guest and all other dig­ni­taries and for­eign diplo­mats for sup­port­ing this cause.

Vote of thanks was given by Mehmood Ta­reen, Founder & CEO, The Pro­fes­sion­als Net­work. 32 fe­male and male nurses were awarded the shields on their best per­for­mance in their re­spec­tive or­ga­ni­za­tions. Cer­tifi­cates of ap­pre­ci­a­tion were given to 30 nurses from 29 dif­fer­ent govern­ment hos­pi­tals and nurs­ing col­leges.

The event was at­tended by a large num­ber of nurses, academia, CEO’s from cor­po­rate sec­tor, so­cial sec­tor, media and the govern­ment of­fi­cials.

The event was con­cluded with the re­marks that the ser­vices of nurses will be ac­knowl­edged and rec­og­nized at all the level of so­ci­ety and ev­ery one will con­trib­ute to this within their re­sources.
