Ma­chin­ery for MBP reach­ing Multan

MULTAN—The relevent ma­chin­ery for Metro Bus Pro­ject (MBP) have been started reach­ing here. This was said by Chief En­gi­neer & Tech­ni­cal Ad­vi­sor Multan Metro Bus Pro­ject Sabir Khan Sadozai in a state­ment is­sued here on Sun­day. He said that 42 gen­er­a­tors, 63 es­ca­la­tors and 63 el­e­va­tors have been pur­chased from France for metro sta­tions. Mean­while He said of the Rs4 bil­lion re­leased so far, they had utilised Rs2,400 mil­lion. Es­ca­la­tors and el­e­va­tors used in the Metro Bus Pro­ject Sta­tions were made in Europe, he said. The sta­tions were be­ing built in view of weather con­di­tions in Multan, he said. “We will make sure that there are no leaks at metro bus sta­tions in Multan,” he said. To a ques­tion, the chief en­gi­neer said the con­struc­tion man­age­ment had played a key role in the fast-paced work on the pro­ject. “How­ever, there will be no com­pro­mise on qual­ity.” —APP
