PM to visit DI Khan to­mor­row

DI KHAN—The au­thor­i­ties con­cerned have fi­nal­ized the se­cu­rity plan for pro­posed visit of Prime Min­is­ter Nawaz Sharif to Dera Is­mail Khan sched­uled on May 17. Se­cu­rity sources said that po­lice from var­i­ous dis­tricts other than DI Khan have also been sum­moned to per­form se­cu­rity duty dur­ing the Premier’s visit. He­li­pad has also been pre­pared near the venue of the pub­lic meet­ing of the PM, the sources added.

Jamiat Ulema e Is­lam (JUIF) has dec­o­rated the with sign boards in­scribed with wel­come slo­gans and prais­ing the ser­vices of PML-N led fed­eral gov­ern­ment for the dis­trict. The cit­i­zens of DI Khan were anx­iously wait­ing from PM’s visit as he was ex­pected to an­nounce mega projects aimed at de­vel­op­ment and progress of the dis­trict. —INP
