Arrangements being finalized for anti-polio drive in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI—The district health department is finalizing arrangements for the five-day anti-polio drive, which will start in the Rawalpindi district on May 23, Executive District Health Officer Dr. Arshad Ali Sabir said on Sunday.
Talking to APP, he said,” We have taken special measures to strengthen the coverage during the anti-polio drive.” Senior staff of the district health department would be deputed to monitor activities during the campaign, he added.
Dr Arshad said special counters would be established at public parks, railway stations, bus stands, wagon stands, airport and other transit points to administer anti-polio drops to the children so that no child up to the age of five years could remain unattended. He hoped that the campaign would be result-oriented and the set target would be achieved.—APP
