Hot, dry weather fore­cast dur­ing cur­rent week

ISLAMABAD—Met of­fice has warned about very hot and dry weather ahead dur­ing the week all over the coun­try.

The low el­e­va­tion agri­cul­tural plains of Pun­jab, Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochis­tan and Sindh will be the cen­tre of heat where day tem­per­a­tures will cross over 45øC and cen­tral parts will touch a crit­i­cal level of 50øC, pri­vate news cha­neel re­ported. Tem­per­a­tures in moun­tain­ous ar­eas of GB and AJK will also rise by 4-5øC above av­er­age re­sult­ing into rapid melt­ing of snow and glaciers.

Due to con­ti­nu­ity of sea breeze, the coastal ar­eas of Pak­istan will not ex­pe­ri­ence any sharp rise in tem­per­a­ture. Day tem­per­a­tures in Karachi will gen­er­ally re­main be­low 40øC; wind will con­tinue blow­ing from sea with vari­able speed with com­fort­able level of hu­mid­ity.
