Mar­galla fes­ti­val from May 28

ISLAMABAD—Cap­i­tal Devel­op­ment Author­ity (CDA) has de­cided to start an­nual Mar­galla Fes­ti­val-2016 from May 28, 2016.

The fes­tiv­i­ties of Mar­galla Fes­ti­val-2016 will re­main con­tinue for three months. Dif­fer­ent Sports and cul­tural pro­grammes would be or­ga­nized all over the city to pro­vide healthy recre­ational fa­cil­i­ties to the res­i­dents of the Fed­eral Cap­i­tal.

This was de­cided dur­ing a meet­ing held at CDA head­quar­ters which was at­tended by Mem­ber Ad­min­is­tra­tion Amer Ali Ahmed, Mem­ber En­vi­ron­ment Sanaullah Aman, Deputy Di­rec­tor Gen­eral Sports, Cul­ture and Tourism and other se­nior of­fi­cers of the Author­ity.

Mem­ber En­vi­ron­ment Sanaullah Aman ap­prised the meet­ing that, since last many years, Mar­galla Fes­ti­val has be­come a reg­u­lar fea­ture of Islamabad and res­i­dents of the city anx­iously wait for the cel­e­bra­tion of this fes­ti­val.

He briefed that the dif­fer­ent Sports tour­na­ments in­clud­ing In­ter-Club Football Tour­na­ment, In­ter-Club Hockey Tour­na­ment, Bas­ket­ball Tour­na­ment, Lawn Ten­nis Tour­na­ment, Ta­ble Ten­nis and Taek­wondo com­pe­ti­tions would be or­ga­nized at dif­fer­ent grounds of the Fed­eral Cap­i­tal.—APP
