APHC-AJK con­demns Motiur Rehman’s hang­ing

ISLAMABAD—The Azad Jammu and Kash­mir Chap­ter of the All Par­ties Hur­riyet Con­fer­ence (APHC) held a con­do­lence meet­ing in Islamabad, to­day, with Con­vener, Ghu­lam Mo­ham­mad Safi in chair. Ac­cord­ing to Kash­mir Me­dia Ser­vice, the meet­ing in strong­est words con­demned the ex­e­cu­tion of for­mer Pres­i­dent of Bangladesh Ja­maat-eIs­lami, Motiur Rehman by the Bangladesh gov­ern­ment. They paid glow­ing trib­utes to the de­ceased and ex­pressed sol­i­dar­ity with the be­reaved fam­ily.

The par­tic­i­pants of the meet­ing said that Bangladesh had vi­o­lated the agree­ment that no case would be reg­is­tered on the ba­sis of war crimes and ap­pealed to the United Na­tions and the in­ter­na­tional com­mu­nity to take no­tice of the crim­i­nal act by the Bangladesh gov­ern­ment and take steps for im­me­di­ate re­lease of the re­main­ing pris­on­ers. They also hailed Tur­key for cut­ting off diplo­matic ties with Bangladesh.
