ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) vice-president Qamar Zaman Monday while praising the players on retaining the Asian Teams’ Squash Championship title said this is a sign of revival of the game in the country.

Pakistan thumped Hong Kong 2-0 in an outdoor venue in Chinese Taipei on Sunday and clinched the Asian Squash Team Championship title. Talking to APP, Qamar said the players performed outstandingly well in the mega event.

“I hope that the players would show the same type of performances in the events to come,” he said.

He said the players’ victory is a symbol that the revival of squash is not far. “Our players are playing very well at the Asian level but they need to show the same type of spirit and hard work when it comes to participate in the World level tournaments,” he said.

He also praised the PSF President Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman for his all-out hard work in promoting the game in the country.—APP
