Very hot weather likely

Pakistan Observer - - NATIONAL -

ISLAMABAD—Metereological Department of Pakistan (Met) has warned about very hot and dry weather ahead during the week all over the country. According to a private news channel, the low elevation agricultural plains of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Sindh would be the centre of heat where day temperatures would cross over 45øC and central parts will touch a critical level of 50øC.

Temperatures in mountainous areas of GB and AJK will also rise by 4-5øC above average resulting into rapid melting of snow and glaciers. Due to continuity of sea breeze, the coastal areas of Pakistan will not experience any sharp rise in temperature.—APP
