Snooker team off to Abu Dhabi

ISLAMABAD—Pak­istan’s na­tional snooker team, com­pris­ing four play­ers and two of­fi­cials flew to Abu Dhabi Tues­day to fea­ture in the 4th Asian Team Event and 5th 6-Red Snooker Cham­pi­onship.

“The play­ers in­clude Babar Masih, Muham­mad Bi­lal, As­jad Iqbal and Muham­mad Asif, while Naveed Ka­pa­dia and Shabir Hus­sain are ac­com­pa­ny­ing them as ref­er­ees,” Pak­istan Bil­liards and Snooker As­so­ci­a­tion (PBSA) Pres­i­dent Alam­gir Sheikh told APP on Tues­day.

He said the train­ing camp of the play­ers was held in Karachi where they were im­parted qual­ity train­ing.

He sounded op­ti­mistic that Pak­istan play­ers would per­form well in the Cham­pi­onship and re­turn home with good re­sults.

A to­tal of 14 Asian Con­fed­er­a­tion of Bil­liard Sports (ACBS) mem­ber coun­tries will par­tic­i­pate in the both events.—APP
