Snooker team off to Abu Dhabi
ISLAMABAD—Pakistan’s national snooker team, comprising four players and two officials flew to Abu Dhabi Tuesday to feature in the 4th Asian Team Event and 5th 6-Red Snooker Championship.
“The players include Babar Masih, Muhammad Bilal, Asjad Iqbal and Muhammad Asif, while Naveed Kapadia and Shabir Hussain are accompanying them as referees,” Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) President Alamgir Sheikh told APP on Tuesday.
He said the training camp of the players was held in Karachi where they were imparted quality training.
He sounded optimistic that Pakistan players would perform well in the Championship and return home with good results.
A total of 14 Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports (ACBS) member countries will participate in the both events.—APP
