Accused of firing incident to be arrested soon: DPO
VEHARI—Accused of 186/ E, B. firing incident in which 25 persons were injured and one killed would be arrested in 24 hours. This was said by District Police Officer (DPO) Vehari Ghazi Muhammad Salahudin while talking to media in DHQ Hospital Vehari after inquiring about the health of the injured.
DPO said he has constituted special team to conduct raids in entire Southern Punjab to trace down the culprits and take them in custody. DPO said these accused of 186/E.B had tried to grab four kanal agriculture lands from Abdul Ghaffar. Giving the details he said that on Tuesday night Hafiz Nawab with other accomplices attacked to have hold of the lands.
Abdul Ghaffar complainant informed Observer that he was present at his lands for irrigation when Nawab with his companions attacked. Abdul Ghaffar added that on their hue and cry his other family members also rushed the spot to help them out but the accused opened fire and as result Muhammad Kashif, 9 died on the spot while 22 others including Abdul Shakoor, Muhammad Hafeez, Muhammad Ramzan, Muhammad Aslam, Ali Raza, Alyas, Noor Muhammad, Naseer Ahmad, Basheer, Amjad, Abdul Ghafoor, Ramzan, Amina, Aasia, Kausar and Pathani Bibi get injured.
