China premier meets Mozam­bi­can pres­i­dent

BEI­JING—Chi­nese Premier Li Ke­qiang met with vis­it­ing Mozam­bi­can Pres­i­dent Filipe Jac­into Nyusi on Fri­day, pledg­ing co­op­er­a­tion in in­dus­trial pro­duc­tion ca­pac­ity.

“China sup­ports Mozam­bique’s ef­forts to safe­guard na­tional se­cu­rity and pro­mote na­tional rec­on­cil­i­a­tion, and is will­ing to of­fer as­sis­tance within our ca­pac­ity to im­prove the coun­try’s eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment and peo­ple’s liveli­hood,” Li told Nyusi.

Li said China sup­ports do­mes­tic en­ter­prises to par­tic­i­pate in build­ing in­fra­struc­ture and co­op­er­a­tion in en­ergy and re­sources in Mozam­bique, ex­press­ing will­ing­ness to co­op­er­ate in in­ter­na­tional in­dus­trial pro­duc­tion ca­pac­ity. Nyusi thanked China for its sup­port for Mozam­bique’s in­de­pen­dence and so­cial and eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment, say­ing Mozam­bique is ready to en­hance prac­ti­cal co­op­er­a­tion with China in in­dus­trial pro­duc­tion ca­pac­ity, en­ergy and min­ing, agri­cul­ture and tourism.—Xin­hua
