Rich tributes paid to Movli Fa­rooq, Ghani Lone

JAMMU—The Jammu and Kash­mir Peo­ples Move­ment (JKPM) here has paid glow­ing tributes to prom­i­nent Kash­miri mar­tyred lead­ers, Molvi Fa­rooq and Ab­dul Ghani Lone on their Mar­tyr­dom an­niver­saries.The JKPM or­ga­nized a func­tion in Ra­jouri to re­mem­ber the two mar­tyred lead­ers.

It urged the po­lit­i­cal lead­er­ship of In­dia and Pak­istan to take some bold ini­tia­tives for the res­o­lu­tion of the Kash­mir dis­pute in ac­cor­dance with the wishes and as­pi­ra­tions of the Kash­miri peo­ple.

Speak­ing on the oc­ca­sion, the JKPM work­ing Chair­man, Mir Shahid Saleem, who chaired the func­tion, said there would be no peace in south Asia un­til Kash­mir dis­pute was re­solved as per the as­pi­ra­tions of the Kash­miris.—KMS

Se­nior lead­ers of Mir­waiz Umar Fa­rooq-led Hur­riyet fo­rum Pro­fes­sor Ab­dul Ghani Butt and Bi­lal Ghani Lone have warned that de­lay in set­tle­ment of the Kash­mir dis­pute will prove fa­tal for en­tire South Asian re­gion in­clud­ing In­dia.
