TIMERGARA— The Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa Se­nior Min­is­ter for Lo­cal Govern­ment and Ru­ral Devel­op­ment Inay­at­ul­lah Khan said that so far Rs 15 bil­lion had been shifted to ac­counts of lo­cal gov­ern­ments in the prov­ince. Ad­dress­ing a gath­er­ing of lo­cal govern­ment rep­re­sen­ta­tives as chief guest at Lal Qila Maidan the Min­is­ter said the govern­ment was sin­cere to uti­lize de­vel­op­men­tal funds through lo­cal govern­ment. He said the prov­ince was fac­ing fi­nan­cial crises as most of the devel­op­ment funds were uti­lized in flash floods in Chi­tral and earth-quake af­fected ar­eas. He said the Cen­tre had been de­lay­ing the KP hy­del-profit due­share as so far noth­ing had been paid to the prov­ince. He said the prov­ince would wait till June 30 and if the fed­eral govern­ment failed to en­sure pay­ment then the prov­ince would strongly re­sist against the Cen­tre . The Ja­maat-i-Is­lami MPA Saeed Gul while speak­ing on the oc­ca­sion said that his party had ini­ti­ated sev­eral de­vel­op­men­tal projects in Maidan and lo­cals would get its fruit once these were com­pleted.
