TIMERGARA— The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Inayatullah Khan said that so far Rs 15 billion had been shifted to accounts of local governments in the province. Addressing a gathering of local government representatives as chief guest at Lal Qila Maidan the Minister said the government was sincere to utilize developmental funds through local government. He said the province was facing financial crises as most of the development funds were utilized in flash floods in Chitral and earth-quake affected areas. He said the Centre had been delaying the KP hydel-profit dueshare as so far nothing had been paid to the province. He said the province would wait till June 30 and if the federal government failed to ensure payment then the province would strongly resist against the Centre . The Jamaat-i-Islami MPA Saeed Gul while speaking on the occasion said that his party had initiated several developmental projects in Maidan and locals would get its fruit once these were completed.
